Brexit response

I am writing this response in view of the emails I have received on a number of subjects to do with Brexit from the revocation of article 50 to a People's Vote. There are a number of points I would like to make.

Speech in debate on autism

I, too, wish to start by paying tribute to my right hon. Friend the Member for Chesham and Amersham (Dame Cheryl Gillan), and I am glad that all our thoughts are with her.

Speech on wildlife crime

It is a great pleasure to serve under your chairmanship, Mr Rosindell. It is also a pleasure to follow the hon. Member for City of Chester (Christian Matheson). I agree with everything he said. I want to widen the debate on to an international stage.

Votes on Article 50

Following on from Wednesday's parliamentary votes on the subject of no-deal, I think it is appropriate for me to clarify the content and the subsequent developments stemming from Thursday's votes in the House of Commons.

Votes on a No Deal Brexit

There has been an understandable degree of confusion surrounding the exact nature of the votes last night and I would like to take this opportunity to clarify what each vote accomplished, as well as which way I voted in each.

Local community funding boost

I have welcomed the news that a good cause in my constituency has received funding from players of the People's Postcode Lottery.

Education funding

A number of people have written to me with observations on school funding. I am happy to respond with a detailed analysis.   I do of course recognise that there are cost pressures on schools and I am doing all I can to raise these with the Department of Education.

More on Brexit

There is nothing that is very much new to add to the subject of Brexit at this stage. We shall have to wait a little longer for this.
