Beware COVID-19 Scams

While most people are pulling together to help one another in this difficult time there are those who try to take advantge of others instead.

Parliamentary Recess

I want to assure you that while Parliament is now closed for an extended recess, my team and I continue to do all that we can to raise questions on your behalf and help with particular issues, especially in this difficult situation.  


It was devastating to see the damage caused by floods towards the end of last year and recent floods bring more concern. Today having looked at the warning on the Environment Agency website I went out in the constituency to see for myself the worst effected places.

John welcomes Oxford-Cambridge Expressway review

John has welcomed the announcement today by the Transport Secretary that he would review, as a priority, the Oxford to Milton Keynes and M1 section of the proposed Oxford-Cambridge Expressway. The review is expected to mark the end of the project for the Expressway. 

Further reflection on the Oxfordshire Cambridge Expressway

John has long taken a keen interest in proposals for the expressway and has followed the work closely to review what is coming forward at each step of the way. In the light of the recent County Council decision to oppose it in any form he has again reflected on this.

John helps launch Poppy Appeal in Henley

On Saturday John joined with representatives from the local branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) to help launch the annual Popply Appeal. 

John congratulates Reaction Engines

John has sent his congratulations to a constituency based company, Reaction Engines, on the successful test of their innovative precooler which is made at their Culham base. The precooler is designed to cool the very hot air coming into the SABRE engine at high speed in a fraction of a second.
