John joins Sustainable Kirtlington to celebrate Clean Energy project

John joined the Sustainable Kirtlington Group to celebrate the opening of their Clean Energy Project at the Village Hall. The project involved the intallation of 32 solar pv panels on the roof or the villlage hall, a battery to store excess energy and 2 electric vehicle charging points.

John said "It was a pleasure to join the group for this celebration. This is an important energy saving project and I congratulate all those involved in getting it up and running on behalf of the community. I was also pleased that it was a local business, Energy My Way, that had done the installation. I will be visiting their site in the constituency in the near future to learn more about their work on renewable energy."

Sustainable Kirtlington was set up in 2007 to explore ways of working towards sustainability in various aspects of the life of the community: energy-saving and energy-generation, local food production, sustainable transport, waste and recycling.
